Description
Kevin Geoffrey has drawn a line in the sand: the Scriptures are either defective and deficient, or sufficient and supreme… which side do you choose?
For too many in the Body of Messiah, the Word of God is a mere consultant with no authority. We refuse to permit Scripture alone to establish our priorities, determine our beliefs, and tell us how to live daily for the Master. In Bearing the Standard: A Rallying Cry to Uphold the Scriptures, Kevin reveals how we have collectively lost sight of God’s Standard—how we are thoroughly oblivious to the influences that lead us to misplace and compromise God’s perfect Word: the Scriptures. Bearing the Standard is a practical, prophetic, and foundational word to all of Messiah’s disciples, calling us to boldly raise the banner of Scripture as the only sufficient and supreme standard for our lives.
The world is waiting for a generation of Standard Bearers who will stand firm on the unchangeable Word of God, no matter the cost…
…are you willing to join the cause?

“Bearing the Standard” is a good reminder for all of us what the Scriptures really is…the Word of God. I especially appreciated the comments about Rationalism…it is amazing what we will say and do in relation to the Bible. None of us is perfect…far from it. And it is so easy to fall into its trap…I have to continually ask myself in what ways have I slid down the slippery slope regardless of how far and how long. Although the book focuses on relationships, there are many other ways we can get caught in the briar patch of “rational thinking”.

I’ve been waiting for a long time for a herald to call us back to a scriptural lifestyle. I received my copy in Monday afternoon’s mail and finished it before I went to bed on Tuesday. Now, I know some of the background for your prayer requests and the struggles you faced in writing “Bearing the Standard: A Rallying Cry to Uphold the Scriptures.”
First, congratulations on getting Jonathan Bernis & Raleigh Washington’s endorsement. Second, your analogy of the brass snake to bearing the standard was timely, considering those of us who are reading through the assigned Torah parashot. Third, the examples that you chose to illustrate your points on tradition, expediency and rationalism were both bold, brave and spot on. I have to confess that I have noticed myself starting to waffle on the issues of the day somewhat, but you brought me right back to reality with the Word.
I highly recommend this book to all who love the Lord and want to pursue His Holiness. The Lord providing the resources, I plan on purchasing sufficient copies for all my relatives, friends and associates.
I’m ready to take the pledge. Actually, I did as I read through it aloud Tuesday night in my prayer closet. I will be re-reading it again very soon.

This is the best Christian/Messianic book I have read in years. Written in brilliant English, the message is very clear. As well as being challenging, it is practical is well. The book is well researched, with proper academic referencing, rather than just an opinion. The book is very easy to read, as the reader is able to engage with the momentum of the author’s important and timely message. A must read for anybody who attends church, or identifies with Jesus/Yeshua.

I have been struggling in my marriage to my unbelieving husband for quite some time. Kevin had sent me a copy of Bearing the Standard and asked me to please read it. I read the whole book in 3 days, I could not put it down. I cried and wept before the LORD knowing that He had really put this book in my hands. I have taken a stand, I will bear the standard of the Word not just in my marriage but in other areas of my life as well. Every believer in the body of Messiah should read this book and put it into practice in every area of their life!

“But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.” (Deuteronomy 30:14 NKJV)
This book is a must-read for all believers in Yeshua. Intelligently and clearly written, Kevin Geoffrey has presented the call to uphold the Scriptures as the standard of living. It is confirmation for those who bear that standard, and encouragement for those who are not yet fully committed. You can’t “sit on the fence” after reading it!
Underlying the excellent practical action points is Kevin’s heart of love for the preciousness of the gift of God’s Word. He has joined c. h. mackintosh in this rallying cry. I’m with him. Are you?
Get this book today. Read it. Take the pledge. Then spread The Word.

This book is a call to action. It accurately lays out the situation that we face as 21st-century Christians – the Word has to be held up as the inerrant standard for life and living today.

This book ranks a billion trillion stars. But it isn’t just a book, or an intellectual excercise- it is bold truth brought to light. I have been waiting years for just this- a rallying cry to get serious about what we believe and why- and what to do about it. This is not a “religious” book, but one written by a True Believer who wants to see Yeshua reign, and take His proper place in our lives.
The market is glutted with books claiming to adhere to scripture, but I have found no match for Kevin Geoffrey’s honesty, hard truths and passion for God. Bearing the Standard is a heavily Holy Spirit annointed work. It reveals hostile influences in the daily lives of believers, namely expediency, tradition and rationalism- and challenges us to make changes in how we live. I raise my voice to join this cry.
This book has a permanent place on my coffee table. It is something I will read again and again.

“Bearing the Standard” is a very timely book and I praise God for it. I have been a believer in the Lord Yeshua for many years yet I found myself questioning the truth of God’s Word in the light of the recent Supreme Court ruling against the Defense of Marriage Act and all the media hoopla surrounding it. Heart wrenching stories about Christian families and the difficulties caused by their children’s recent choices were reported and news of same sex marriage decisions being made in France and the UK. I began to review Scripture I had highlighted many years ago in my Hebrew/Greek Study Bible to verify my belief that marriage was between a man and a woman. Surely, I wasn’t being influenced to doubt my long time belief…or was I? I read commentaries and did biblical research online to prove God’s Word. Then my book arrived I had ordered from “Perfect Word Ministries.” Thank you Kevin for your obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit in writing “Bearing the Standard.” The precepts in your book were uniquely presented in such a manner that “hit you where you live.” The message is very clear – the entire Word of God is black or white – there is no gray matter. I pray that many will read your book as I did and be reassured of the truth of God’s Word – to be inspired to re-establish their allegiance to it.

Kevin Geoffrey, your new book “Bearing the Standard” is a phenomenal testament to your ministry and to your love of the Lord. The words and arguments you have used to craft this work are specific, logical and compelling. It is obvious that you have been blessed by the Holy Spirit with a gift for making the complicated understandable. In the end, your call to action is both convicting and liberating. This book will touch many and compel them to walk more closely with the Lord and follow Him with a renewed purpose. What a blessing it will be to see a new generation Bearing the Standard.

An amazing book, so truthful and compelling to say the least. There was so much to evaluate of myself in relationship to the Lord. How easy it is for us to fall into satan’s trap to accept our understanding of His standards rather what the Lord actually says His words of standard are..

Sorry there are only 5 stars, not 10. Kevin your work here is tremendous. I’ve signed up. My question is hopeful, Where do we go from here? This is a highly motivating study. I hope it develops into something more. A movement to do and be more for Yeshua. i have found myself to be spending more and more time in studying Scripture and in prayer.

I haven’t read pass the “Preface” yet! But just from reading that portion, I already know that it’s another awesome read leading to the absolute TRUTH!
Thank you Kevin, that through Holy Spirit’s guidance and your heart of consistent diligence, I am becoming even the more, a “doer” of the word, and not a “hearer” only!
